The year was 1980.

Six hundred pounds of combined fury descended upon Gulf Shores for a long-awaited rematch.

Bubba Fritz versus Ladell Washington. The Barrel Battle of the Century.

Thousands claimed to witness it. Most of them told a different story.

Who emerged victorious? Who could still walk the next morning? Who took home the bass boat raffle? History may never know.

The 1980 Boondrift Sports collection pays tribute to the mythical local legends who probably existed… somewhere out there.

This shirt combines vintage county fair energy, Southern grit, and just enough chaos to make people ask:

“Wait… was this a real event?”

Made from cotton or a cotton blend depending on color selection.
